The first month of the year it’s almost over, but what we have noticed is that the federal gaming legislation continues to be too unsure; but don’t be worry because if we look at state-by-state legislation we can see that there are interesting news and possibility for legal online gambling as early as later this year. Right now in America there are three states considered gambling-friendly and we talk about Nevada, New Jersey and California; in the beginning of 2013 Nevada was the first to propose a gaming bill that may allow any other state (with of course approves their own online gaming bills) to get into an agreements with others. H2 Gambling Capital’s analysts reported that regulating all forms of Internet gambling (without thinking about sports) would generate, over the next five years, a gross expenditure of $67 billion with more than 25,470 new jobs, which is very important if you think that the national unemployment rate is about 7,8%. We don’t know what is going to happen but according to U.S. Online Gaming Law held in Nevada, the new regulations might be very complexed. There are many topics that need to be discussed: how to resolve the differing technical standards online and of course who would have jurisdiction if interstate play is permitted. It’s a huge challenge for both legislators and site operators, but it must be figured out!
