There is a dream that we can share all together and it’s to win millions of dollars with minimal effort. The group leader it like an orchestra director who controls the time and all the movements of his team; does this story sounds like something we already hear? It’s the perfect setup that we saw in Oceans 11: you just need your George Cloneey look, in order to help your hit, and an incredible group of people that you really trust in. And that’s it!
Numer 2 – Jose Vigoa
Have you ever heard of Jose Vigoa? He was born in Cuba and ended up in Russia to learn how to throw hatchets while upside down; then what happened? In 1990, with the nickname of “Tony” he “conquered” Las Vegas. He stole everything he could: he robbed hotels, cars, casinos and he had no problem to kill people, all those ones that stood against him. His “carreer” ended in 2002 when this modern “Scarface” was finally captured and sentenced to 500 years in prison. Do you understand Hollywood?
Numer 3 – The cashiers
The first enemy of a casino could be a cashier! Let’s tell two different stories: we have Elizabeth Williams and Bill Brennan; the first one was a very common and easy cashiers who walked out of work with 50,000 dollars and mister Brennan was a lowly cashier at the Stardust Casino. Williams wasn’t so smart at all: she used to steal the money from the gambling machines and put it into three trash-bags, while the security cameras where looking at her. And what about Brennan? In 1992 he put 500,000 dollars into his backpack and just walked out the door; no one ever foud him!
Number 4 – Thieves in Berlin
In 2010 the most talented names in poker had descended on Berlin to put their hands on €1 million prize pool. These gamblers where ready, but something happened, or even better, a group of thieves happened: with guns and balaclavas on their faces these thieves have created a mass panic and made off with approximately 200,000 dollars. The worst part of it? The all scene broadcast live on streaming as part of the tournament coverage. What a shot!
Number 5 – Roberto Solis
You think about the most kind and sweet man in the world: well Roberto Solis wasn’t that type of guy. In 1969 Solis, while in the process of robbing an armored car, shot an old guard in the back; 24 years later came out with the name of Julius Suave. With her girlfriend, Heather Tallchief, they got a job as armored car driver and one day they just drove off with 3 million dollars of the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino’s money. Tallchief in 2005 turned herself, but where is mister Solis?
